Monthly Needs: August

For the month of August, we're going back to basics for school!

August is a time to get back to school, both for our kids and adults too! We are requesting basic school supplies and hygiene supplies so everyone can be looking their best. Here are some ideas of items that would be helpful:

  • Highlighters
  • Pens (no pencils needed, we have a lot)
  • Crayons
  • Colored pencils
  • Pencil Sharpeners
  • Notebooks and paper
  • Binders (clear pockets are always a hit)
  • Folders
  • Sticky Notes (for school and office)
  • Glue sticks
  • Razors
  • Liquid Body wash
  • Shower Loofahs
  • Hair Brushes

 

We also still need some KidZone starters as we prepare to open the KidZone at its new location. Here a few items that our Child Care Director would like to get her started:

 

Evangel Home does not sell any donated items. The majority of items are used on our property in one of our programs. If we receive an abundance of any item or product, we pass it on to former residents or other ministries.

 

Daily Meals

For many, meals at Evangel Home are their introduction to family style meals served at regular times. We serve about 100 meals a day and strive to teach our women the value of good nutrition and healthy eating habits. There is always a need for:

  • Fresh fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Coffee
  • Creamer
  • Sugar and artificial sweetener
  • Hot chocolate
  • Large bags of rice and beans
  • Shredded cheese
  • Canned food, especially beans of all kinds
  • Napkins
  • Large zip lock bags
  • Paper plates and cups

Clothing, Linen and Bath Towels

Our women come in all sizes, shapes and ages.

  • New or gently used clothing for both women and children: Modest casual clothing, Underwear, Socks, T-shirts
